Surprisingly local law enforcement and National Guard allowed the public to walk past the road closure signs posted on the Chehalis overpasses and gaze upon the flooded fields and damage on I-5.
Here’s a collection of photos I took this afternoon on I-5.

Detour route and more information. This closure is likely to last for
several days.
- SR 6 - Slide has occurred on roadway at milepost 27.

This new traveler information system builds upon the highly successful Washington State Highway hotline that managed 4.6 million calls each year. Callers can also use 5-1-1 to get statewide construction, mountain pass condition, and state ferry system information, as well as toll free numbers for passenger rail and airlines. TTY users can call 1-800-833-6388.”
